Minnetonka, Minn. – Wednesday, March 16 – Emanuelson-Podas recently closed on a 26,000 square-foot industrial building at 7705 Bush Lake Road in Edina, Minn., and plans to move its headquarters there following a complete renovation of the site. The nearly 60-year-old company has been headquartered in Minnetonka, Minn. since 2007.

Electrical Engineer and Managing Partner Matt Fults cited the company’s growth as the primary reason for the move. “The other partners and I have always emphasized smart, healthy company growth,” he said. “We’ve grown slowly and steadily, and have more than doubled in size since we moved into our Minnetonka location. Our current space just doesn’t allow us to appropriately accommodate our staff and workload.”

The new location in Edina will double EP’s existing office space. It will also allow the company to expand one of the most tangible outgrowths of its commitment to fostering healthy employees and families: a more than 4,000 square-foot family and recreation room.

“There was never a question about whether or not to include space for the rec room,” said Fults. “Our company values – family, service and trust – really are at the center of every major decision we make. Having a dedicated space for our employees and their families to refresh, relax and enjoy being together… well, it goes to the very heart of our family value.”

Mike Webert, EP Mechanical Engineer and Managing Partner, spearheaded the effort to find a new location and is managing the renovation efforts. “We’re thrilled with the new building and the new location,” he said. “The building itself has extraordinary history and character – it was built in 1968 and was originally a factory that made screws – and our plan is to play off its industrial heritage as we revamp it for our own use.”

He continued, “We’re both really excited about the new building and very proud that we’ve put ourselves in a position to make this kind of move. The new building will be a great space for our clients, for our employees and for the families of our employees. It’s a great next step for our company.”
