Edina, Minn. – Wednesday, June, 22, 2016 – Emanuelson-Podas (EP) recently announced that Rick Dale had joined the firm’s commissioning department, taking on the role of Director of Commissioning. Dale, a 30-year professional in the industry, will lead the company’s existing commissioning efforts and expand the department’s expertise and capabilities.
Dale is a Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), a Commissioning Process Technical Service Provider (CxTS), a member of the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA) and is currently serving on the exam committee for the Building Commissioning Certification Board (BCCB). Dale earned his Associate’s Degree of Arts in General Studies from the University of Phoenix in 2004. He is also a Certified Commissioning Professional through the Building Commissioning Association, has a certificate of Commissioning Technical Services from the University of Wisconsin and a 4th Class Stationery Engineering License from the National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers.
Prior to joining EP, Dale worked as a utility operator, maintenance coordinator, manufacturing maintenance coordinator and most recently, a commissioning engineer at Abbott Laboratories in Abbott Park, Ill., where he started in 1992. In addition to his experience with Abbott, Dale also served as a boiler technician in the U.S. Navy for a decade.

At EP, Dale will lead the company’s existing commissioning team that authenticates building systems and equipment, interfaces in the commissioning scope of work, and verifies that systems are installed, tested and operate in accordance with designer plans, specifications, contract documents and owner recommendations.
