Chris Eastman, PE, is a partner and mechanical engineer, and has been with the firm for six years. With a background in energy management and controls, Chris came to EP and quickly made an impact leading sophisticated mechanical engineering projects in sectors ranging from multifamily housing to fitness. He now leads the mechanical and plumbing design efforts for a large national fitness services provider, where he created and maintains an innovative design standards program. Additionally, Chris has spearheaded efforts to improve construction document quality by working closely with EP’s BIM (Building Information Modeling) team, advancing clash detection initiatives.
Even as a child, Chris had an interest in engineering. He spent his early years taking everything apart, understanding how it works, and then (trying to) put it all back together. He has carried this need for understanding how the world works throughout his education and career. Although he is involved in many aspects of mechanical design, he excels in HVAC design. This involves great attention to detail while modeling in Revit, which also happens to be something he greatly enjoys.
Outside of work, Chris spends most of his time with his wife and son, cooking or exploring new places on long drives. His hobbies include working on trucks and Jeeps and taking off-roading or cross-country road trips with friends and family.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical engineering.
